LISATS Point is located below one of the bridges over
the Banana River near the State Route 401 exit of SR-528

LISATS Point is not an official geographic designation, but is used as a landmark in ham radio operations in communicating with Brevard County Emergency Management officials. An official, but informal "net" of hams in the area is called for each launch on 147.135 MHz (+600 KHz) as the eyes and ears of Brevard County, should an official emergency be declared.

146.940 MHz is the frequency in the 2 Meter ham radio band where LISATS transmits its launch information, and commentary.

Don't forget a jacket or sweater It can get rather breezy that close to the ocean.
